Description
At our November Cork event, you will hear the fascinating story of Cork-based Poppulo and its expansion from an email marketing software company in Bandon to being the global leader in employee communications, working with many of the world’s biggest brands, such as Nike, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Nestlé, LinkedIn and McDonalds.
Poppulo’s Vice President of Marketing, Mairead Maher, will outline the strategic thinking that led to the decision to rebrand from Newsweaver to Poppulo earlier this year, and how it was so much more than a name change.

Ms Maher, who has extensive and diverse senior management and marketing experience, ranging from media, creative brand agency and food industries, will detail how the rebrand resulted from the need to align the company’s identity with its mission and global ambition, which is to help companies realise the full potential of their employees through highly effective internal communications.
She will reveal the critical role Poppulo’s own employees played in the successful rebrand, right down to choosing the company’s new name, which was inspired by the Latin for people.
“We felt it was a perfect name, as people are at the very heart of everything we do, and the really successful organisations we work with know that any company is only as good as its people,” she said.
Poppulo has doubled its workforce over the past year and a half, with the majority based at its Cork Airport Business Park HQ, where the company’s ground-breaking software was developed. It also has an office in Boston and further growth and expansion is being planned.
