The Marketing Institute of Ireland Cork is delighted to announce our exclusive February event, which focuses on marketing in the Entertainment industry. One of the heaviest hitters in the entertainment sphere, guest speaker David Burke, General Manager of Universal Pictures Ireland will take to the hot seat.  On Tuesday 13th February in the Cameo Cinema at the Montenotte Hotel, CNN veteran Gina London will conduct a Q&A with Mr. Burke on the role of marketing in the entertainment industry and its evolution.

Previously, David worked with leading Irish independent Film distributors Clarence Pictures, the distribution arm of Little Bird Ltd. and Eclipse Pictures where he was involved in releasing a wide range of Irish and International films. David has also worked as a consultant with Halo Communications, a film specific promotions company working with International Distributors such as Twentieth Century Fox and United International Pictures.
A Film Studies MA graduate from University College Dublin; David also holds a Diploma in Advertising and PR alongside an MBA from DIT Business School. Currently a career mentor with UCD; David also sits on the DIT MBA council.
