Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)


Provide marketing, advertising, event management, merchandising, budgeting, administration, supervision and instruction of staff in order to ensure efficient and economically sound operations to the Anthony Ryan Group.

The job requires an ability to work on your own initiative, to be creative and build strong relationships with customers, staff and suppliers.

Work Performed:

Direct the overall activities of the marketing/advertising operations of the Anthony Ryan Group to include marketing, advertising, administration, supervision, record keeping, event management, website, budgeting, supervision and general management duties as required.


Develop and implement promotions working with MD, GM and Department Managers.

Print and radio advertising and placing of adverts.

  • Place adverts in local print media, radio and magazines and sign off on all proofs. 
  •  Source images and content for adverts.
  • Supply press releases, images to local and national media.
  • Develop and send radio campaigns to Radio Stations.
  • TV Adverts
  • Continue to build relationships with suppliers
  • Negotiate rates and control advertising budgets
  • Any other duties related to advertising


Social Media/Online Marketing

  • Maintain Company Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. Schedule and plan posts.
  •  Email Marketing Campaigns – Plan, create and schedule/send emails using Mailchimp
  • Source current images and content for the above campaigns.
  • Send out SMS Messages. Negotiate rates. Ensure SMS account is topped up.
  • Respond to any online queries


Event Planning including

  • Instore Fashions Shows
  •  Outside Fashion Shows
  • Style Workshops
  • Wedding Fairs
  • TV3
  • Races Promotions
  • Men’s Only evening/event
  • Plan and implement any other events that arise



  • Develop recruitment campaigns
  •  Develop adverts for print media, in-store adverts and online recruitment adverts as they arise
  • Assist in interview process
  • Generate new contracts and handbooks for new employees
  • Maintain and update staff handbook
  • Staff Training
  • Develop recruitment campaigns


Loyalty Database Management

  • Adding and cleaning subscribers when possible
  • Ensure all departments have database forms and cards



  • Oversee and manage all company travel
  • Liaise with Buyers on show research & complete show registrations
  • Book Flights, Hotels
  • Complete online check ins,
  • Control travel budgets and records



  • Manage stocks and delivery of packaging for each of the 4 stores. This includes paper bags, gift card packaging, tissue paper, gift wrap.
  • Management of any print outsourcing, i.e. graphic design, printers
  • Corporate Discount Cards
  • Hotel Discount Cards
  • Mystery Shopping Service
  • Daily Operational Issues and Administration
  • Pass invoices & Credit Card Statements
  • Ensure Customer Service Standards are met in all departments
  • Key Holding Duties
  • General Management Duties
  • Other adhoc duties that may arise
