Role Purpose – Carr Golf Travel & Events Division

With a focus on exceptional customer service, in depth golf expertise and a network of partners and suppliers that has been honed over 27 years, Carr Golf Travel has established itself as one of the pre-eminent golf travel companies in the UK & Ireland. The travel division also specialises in curating a calendar of bespoke, prestigious amateur golfer events that take place in Ireland and Scotland throughout the year.

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Executive to join the team and oversee the implementation of annual marketing plans that support our exciting growth plans. You will be joining an ambitious and passionate team that is tireless in creating unforgettable golf travel experiences.  This is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for golf and who knows what it takes to deliver cost effective lead generating marketing campaigns for discerning clientele.


Areas of responsibility will include

  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of annual marketing plans for Travel and Events products & services.

  • Set out annual marketing budgets and detailed campaign calendars to support the growth targets for the Travel & Events division.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers and how best we can meet their needs. Using this to make recommendations to enhance our products, services & customer experience.

  • Working with the sales and fulfilment teams, oversee the implementation of a retention and referral strategy to foster deep customer loyalty and advocacy.

  • Provide clarity on brand architecture and set out a clear position for Carr Golf Travel above our competitive set.

  • Support the sales team by managing the design, print and production of compelling marketing collateral for the luxury golf travel market.

  • Identify, negotiate and leverage extensive industry partnerships to support company sales and brand objectives.

  • Oversee the delivery of company promotional events

  • Own wider market intelligence including competitor analysis and report to Senior Management on market opportunities/challenges.

  • Design and deliver our digital / e-marketing activities across website, social media and database communications.

  • Write copy for marketing materials and other shareable content

  • Manage 3rd party agencies to budget and to the timely delivery of campaign plans.




  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a hospitality / travel / luxury goods marketing role

  • Marketing or Digital Marketing Degree

  • Fast thinker that is open to new and better ways of meeting business goals

  • Excellent levels of personal motivation and organisation

  • Effective communicator to clients and colleagues, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide clear written and verbal briefs and reports to stakeholders in Ireland, UK and US.

  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with proven ability to deliver multiple projects to deadline

  • Ability to work autonomously, with little supervision while understanding and respecting approval channels

  • Experience or strong knowledge of the golf industry is a distinct advantage.

  • Experience of setting up partner / distributor marketing programmes successfully a distinct advantage

  • Experience in generating leads for very high value transaction sales a distinct advantage.

  • A deep understanding of what it takes to provide first class hospitality and customer service.

  • Full clean driving licence is essential

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5-10% of role)
