“My global career, some key learnings and myth busting”

We are delighted to invite the marketing community to join us in our 2021 Marketing Breakfast Series in partnership with MCCP. Joining us for our March Breakfast is Orla Mitchell, CEO at WaterWipes.

The Marketing Breakfast Series was a sequence of early morning events held in central Dublin exploring marketing themes and practices in a wide range of different areas. Due to the challenges of 2020, the series went online. Our collaboration with MCCP this year will bring an overall theme of “Navigating Recovery” to be spread across eight breakfast events with top speakers from the profession.

Orla Mitchell

Orla Mitchell is a seasoned International business woman with a career characterised by working on many of the World’s best loved brands across multiple geographies and cultures.

Following her B.Comm in U.C.G and Masters in International Marketing (M.B.S) in U.C.D, Orla spent a few years in consulting before starting her consumer goods career with Nestle Ireland followed by Kerry Foods. Orla joined Mars Inc in 2001 and spent 18 years with this world leading family owned business before leaving in mid 2019. From working in local to global teams, the Petcare to Food and Confectionery categories, Orla is known for her strategic clarity, unwrapping brand stories and driving innovation to delight consumers and sustainably grow businesses. In her last role with Mars Inc Orla held the position of Global President of the Gum & Mints category for Mars Wrigley, based in Chicago where she led the strategic development of iconic brands from Orbit, Extra, 5 and Skittles to name a few. She was a member of the Global Leadership team in Mars Wrigley, the World’s leading Confectionery company. During her time at Mars, as a member of the Global CMO team Orla was privileged to be part of the team that led the transformation of Marketing at Mars culminating in accelerated business performance and creative excellence evidenced in external industry recognition from global Effies to Cannes Lions with Mars consistently recognised as a world leader in creative excellence and marketing effectiveness.
