Marketing Team of the Year Award
Teams which bring together a range of complementary skills and leverage these successfully can often point to extraordinary results. This award will go to a marketing team which can demonstrate how it has created an inordinately high level of business performance, encompassing both strategic perspective and tactical implementation skills. The judges will look for evidence of the impact that teamwork had on performance, focusing on team organisation, clear definition of roles, allocation of tasks, generation and sharing of ideas, team motivation, a culture of support, open communications, problem solving and measurement methods.

Suntory Beverage & Food Conor Farrell
Having conquered the squalling pandemic seas, 2022 began with unforeseen challenges for the Suntory Ireland marketing team. Rising costs, new global brand house models, and a buoyant external jobs market saw the team in need of a shake up and new development opportunities as engagement waned. A game of musical chairs rooted in rich development plans stretched and stimulated the team coupled with a step change in learning and development. Amid copious change and volatility, the team delivered record breaking performance from a brand, business and team engagement perspective.

An Post Lucy Murrary
Although loved by most, the An Post business needed to return to financial growth following two years responding to the Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit impact. Faced with ambitious targets, the Retail Marketing Team focussed on five key principles to ensure brand and business success; i) clarity on goals ii) building a diverse skillset in the team, iii) fostering strong interpersonal relationships with internal teams and external partners, iv) understanding and responding to customers in a changing market and v) building an environment that encourages personal growth. A re- energised team exceeded all key brand, customer and sales targets whilst reducing acquisition costs.
