As the current Senior Sponsorship and Engagement Manager for Vodafone, Gerry has been instrumental in developing and implementing the brand’s sponsorship strategy for its most high-profile partnerships, including Irish Rugby and the music and comedy platform Centre Stage. His work on the Irish Rugby sponsorship and #TeamofUs campaign was recognized nationally with an All-Ireland Marketing Award for Sponsorship Management in 2017.  Gerry has over ten years of experience working in both consumer and enterprise-targeted marketing, developing sponsorship strategy as well as managing media partnerships and events. His marketing career has spanned across various industries so far, including Telco, financial services, and IT sectors.

Irene joined Bord Gáis Energy in 2008 and was involved in the design and creation of the organisation’s sponsorship programme. Today as Communications Manager she is responsible for defining and implementing the PR, brand and sponsorship strategy to ensure it delivers ROI for Bord  Gáis Energy. 

Irene holds an Honours degree in Business and Marketing from Waterford Institute of Technology and has 15 years industry experience in the energy and construction sectors. Irene has always viewed organisational change as an opportunity and firmly believes that sponsorship should evolve in tandem.

Sorcha joined the communications team in Bord Gáis Energy in 2014 and has worked across the organisation’s sponsorship properties in her time there. Currently her primary responsibility is to manage the brand’s sponsorship of the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship driving customer loyalty and brand awareness. 

Prior to joining Bord Gáis Energy Sorcha worked agency side for OMD Ireland and Velocity Worldwide, New York. Sorcha holds an Honours degree in International Business and Languages, and MSc in Marketing Practice from UCD Smurfit School and is currently undertaking the European Sponsorship Association Diploma.

Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017

A former Management Consultant with Deloitte in London, Garrett was responsible for Commercial Delivery and Operations of the Heineken Cup from 2005-2015. In 2015, he was appointed Tournament Director for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017, with overall responsibility for the IRFU’s strategy, planning, organisation and delivery of the Tournament. With record TV viewership and ticket sales, World Rugby hailed Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 as the “best attended”, “most viewed”, “most legacy driven” and “most socially engaged” Women’s Rugby World Cup ever.

In 2013, Brian joined AIB with the responsibility for leading the rejuvenation of the AIB brand.

Over the course of the last 4 years, Brian and his team have been responsible for the development of multiple award winning programs including  “AIB’s GAA campaign “#TheToughest”,  and the development of AIB's "Backing" positioning with programs such as AIB “Backing Brave” for SMEs & AIB "Backing Belief" for personal customers.


Sarah Keane

Olympic Council of Ireland

Sarah Keane is the president of the Olympic Council of Ireland, having served on the Council board since August 2014.  A former National Level Swimmer and International Water Polo Player, she became the first Chief Executive Officer of Swim Ireland in 2004 and held the position for over ten years. Sarah is a qualified solicitor and, prior to her tenure with Swim Ireland, worked for eight years with Matheson Solicitors. Her qualifications include an Honours Degree in Law, a Masters in Commercial Law, Diplomas in both Corporate Management and Financial Management, and a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors. Sarah graduated from the Common Purpose Leadership Programme in 2015 and represented Ireland at the European Olympic Council’s Women in Sport & Leadership Talent Event in Poland in April 2015.

Galway Senior Hurling 

Joe Canning, Galway Senior Hurling centre-forward, is regarded as one of the modern greats of the game – who will forget the last minute point against Tipperary in this year’s semi-final? Most recently, Joe was a crucial part of the team that led Galway to its first All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship in 29 years. A proud native of Portumna, Joe has been an All-Ireland medallist at county level in minor, under-21 and senior grades.  At club level, he is a four-time All-Ireland medallist with Portumna. His individual accolades include being named the Vodafone Young Hurler of the Year in 2008, as well as claiming three All Star Awards. 
Joe studied Business & Marketing at the Limerick Institute of Technology and has, since 2016, been a Board Member for UNICEF Ireland.
