The Annual Student Marketing Challenge on Thursday, April 19th in Cork Institute of Technology. 
This event showcases up and coming marketing talent and highlights the innovation and creativity of the next generation of marketers. 

The Challenge 

In 2017, Alpes D’Or became an official sponsor to the Dublin Horse Show, in a bid to re-ignite this brand, which has been in existence since 1985, but had been dormant for some years. With the Dublin Horse Show attracting 100,000 annual visitors from Ireland and across the world and with television coverage of the event shown in over 50 countries globally, this sponsorship was seen by Alpes D’Or as a key means of driving brand awareness and creating a positive brand image of this fine Belgian chocolate brand.  Alpes D’Or also has plans to acquire and implement an ice cream brand into its current development. Following on from this, plans are now in place to open a number of chocolate and ice-cream cafés, commencing here in Ireland.

Students are tasked with proposing a public relations campaign for Alpes D’Or to maximise the impact of the sponsorship of the Dublin Horse Show, and to assist in the promotion of their chocolate and ice-cream cafés.
