Executive Diploma in Finance for Marketers 

The Executive Diploma in Finance for Marketers will aid marketers with the analysis and application of financial information as key factors in developing strategic marketing plans, campaigns and decisions. 

The programme will bring an understanding of the importance of financial management in a marketing context.

The course objective is to introduce marketers to the main financial concepts necessary for business planning. 


Duration: Part-time - Part-time - The course will take place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and run for 12 weeks.

Start Date:   Wednesday 10th April 2019

Location: Technological University Dublin, Dublin 2

Marketing Institute Members: Early bird rate €1,490 

Non-Members: Early bird rate €1,750 - includes one year MII Membership subject to meeting criteria.




The course will take place on Wednesday evenings and run for 12 weeks.

A fully accredited CPD qualification at Level 8 on the NFQ awarded by Technological University Dublin

Learning Outcomes


On successful completion of the course programme attendees will be able to:

- Understand and critically evaluate financial information 

- Contribute in a meaningful way to management and marketing decisions based on the analysis of management accounting data

- Conduct sensitivity analysis of financial projections by means of spreadsheets

- Evaluate alternative sources of finance and assess investment possibilities

- Work effectively in teams to formulate key decisions

Margaret Fitzsimons

Margaret Fitzsimons is a Chartered Accountant and Tax Consultant by profession. She is a former Small Business Adviser with over seven years’ experience designing and delivering Start Your Own Business Courses.  Margaret has worked in the area of academic teaching and programme development since 2006 and she has extensive experience in lecturing finance, accounting, taxation and entrepreneurship.
