What is the course about?

The 12 week Executive Diploma in Strategic Digital Marketing is designed to get you up to speed with the latest developments in the fast-paced world of marketing. You will be taught by industry and academic experts. This diploma is primarily concerned with providing the learner with the knowledge, competencies and skills to become a successful digital marketer. It  will  provide  the  learner  with  the  strategic  framework  within  which  digital marketing operates.  Students will receive a rigorous and solid immersion in how to organise, plan, implement  and  control  a  digital  marketing  strategy  within  a  broader  strategic framework.  The Executive Diploma in Strategic Digital Marketing challenges the student to critically evaluate alternative business and revenue models. It explores how digital marketing can create customer value.

What will participants learn/achieve?

On completion of this programme/module, the learner will be able to

  1. Understand the challenges and structures involved in managing a digital marketing strategy as part of the overall strategy for an organisation
  2. Deploy appropriate digital marketing tools and tactics in the context of an integrated digital marketing strategy
  3. Use competitor analysis and benchmarking tools to benchmark relative online performance
  4. Understand the strategic implications of different business and revenue models in an online environment
  5. Manage a brand’s online presence
  6. Develop a structured approach to Lead generation, customer acquisition, customer conversion and customer retention
  7. Be able to implement a formal planning and monitoring and budgeting system for a digital marketing strategy

What is the course’s USP?

Unlike other Strategic Digital Marketing programmes, this Executive Diploma has been specifically designed for marketers, looking to accelerate their career development and transition into a more senior role, or those looking to make a career change. This Executive Diploma is a Level 8 CPD Award on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) and the award is made by Technological University Dublin, a member of the European University Association.

Students who complete this Executive Diploma, may progress to the MSc in Digital Marketing & Analytics (TU354) with an exemption from one of the 1st semester modules on that master’s degree.
