Technical Content Writer 


At Spearline we provide end to end SaaS based testing solutions to support customer experience management. We are experts in audio quality and connectivity testing for global contact centre telecoms infrastructure. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Technical Content Writer to join our marketing team. A key support position within the marketing team, the Technical Content Writer works collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather information, identify target audiences, and determine user needs. The Technical Content Writer analyses procedure, audience, and systems information to create content for both non-technical and technical users for products, product training materials, and more.

The Role:

  • Researches, develops, organises, writes and edits technical materials in a variety of formats - e.g. user tips, blog posts, whitepaper, webinar presentation, and other
  • Collaborates with Subject-Matter-Experts to establish technical specifications
  • Publishes developed content leveraging multiple communication channels, e.g. paper,
    multimedia, web-based publications and others
  • Maintains organised records of all materials, drafts, and previous versions
  • Aids in the production of technical diagrams, graphs, and other assets
  • Follows and maintains established style of content guidelines across platforms and media
  • Analyses written and published content to maintain continuity of style, and SEO
  • Ensures deliverables are published on schedule
  • Works efficiently and accurately in content management systems, adhering to best practices and standards for terminology and content management


The Candidate:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum one year relevant technical writing experience, preferably software or
    telecommunications industry
  • Working knowledge of content creation tools - word processing, presentation, image management, etc., and familiarity with content management systems and marketing automation tools.
  • Demonstrates ability to quickly learn and apply new tools, processes, and standards
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to audiences that have varying degrees of technical ability
  • Strong time management skills and an ability to take accountability for completing
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly, specifically complex technical information
  • Ability to analyze target audience and to present ideas in user-friendly language
  • Knowledge of telecoms industry, unified communications and/or contact center technologies will be a distinct advantage
