What will participants learn / achieve?
Modules have been designed and developed with the objective of providing students with the requisite business and marketing skills in a more formalised way. Applicants generally have some expertise in business and management, but the learnings from the course will validate and solidify these skills to ensure adequate and appropriate competency levels.
Below is an outline of how the qualification aligns with the MII Competency Framework.
The Marketing Seminar series forms an integral part of programme delivery, and sessions are designed with relevance to the experience of the current cohort and in conjunction with experts in their field.
These sessions have proven very popular and help participants to identify future goals, ambitions and career paths, based on the experiences and career outlines of guest speakers.
The Management Consulting Project, which students are required to complete in Semester 3 of the programme, tests the skills and competencies that have been developed over the previous two semesters.
Class groups are assigned a real life client, facing a business issue. This is a key learning experience and an effective way for non-business graduates to apply their newly acquired business savviness and contribute to business growth strategies.

“The PG Dip in Management and Marketing was a great course for me. Coming from a non-business background, it laid the foundations of management and marketing for me in the first semester, foundations from which I was able to build upon and extend in the second semester. The course helped to equip me with tools that were immediately transferable into my working life, and served to provide me with a solid base from which I could begin to plan and implement strategies in both management and marketing areas within my organisation.”
