Webinar – Government, Society and Public Affairs in the New Normal
There is much speculation as to what a “new normal” might look like when the worst effects of this pandemic do eventually pass, and when it comes to Public Affairs that new normal is probably already here.
Now more than ever the line between citizen and consumer is becoming blurred. This has significant implications for marketing. Arguably everything is now a public affair. Every decision a business makes, every direction a government gives is being done in the context of survival, the survival of businesses across the country and the survival of our social fabric as we currently understand it. Much of the BS has abated. For now. There is a greater good being served by all, we have common cause as a society. New relationships are being forged between government and business. Problems are being addressed with an alacrity never seen before in Irish life. Businesses are grappling with numerous challenges at once. The rapid pulse of activity has led to new ways of doing business, necessity demanded it. Pent up reform has gushed through the sluice gates of crisis. In public and business life. This crisis has taken a massive toll. It will continue to do so. How do you sell in this new context? What is the new lingua franca of marketing? What can we harness from this new normal to stimulate our recovery? We are a country and a world mired in adversity, but we are responding. Pent up reform has gushed through the sluice gates of crisis. Good things are happening amid the economic carnage. There is hope. The public are engaged, that means your audience and your market are too. All we have to do now is figure out how to connect in this new normal.
