Winners unveiled for All Ireland Marketing Awards 2020
First Virtual AIM Awards Ceremony
DUBLIN, 16th October 2020: The Marketing Institute of Ireland has announced the winners of the 2020 All Ireland Marketing Awards at virtual event in RTÉ Studio 5. The event was watched by over 1,000 marketing leaders and professionals, and the MC for the event was RTE’s news anchor, Bryan Dobson.
The All Ireland Marketing Awards programme is Ireland’s marketing showcase, with hundreds of entries competing for places on the shortlist, for the eighteen awards which span the entire remit of the marketing disciplines. The awards event is a celebration of the achievements of all the shortlisted businesses.
Dee Forbes, Director General, RTE welcomed everyone to the virtual event. An Taoiseach Micheál Martin sent a video message of well wishes to all the Finalists.
The All Ireland Marketing Champion award for 2020 was presented to Pat McDonagh, Managing Director, Supermac’s. Pat is the Managing Director of Ireland’s most successful indigenous quick service family restaurant group, Supermac’s. With well over 100 restaurants across the country, the company employs over 4,000 people nationally and has helped to establish up to 60 self-employed franchisees in their own successful businesses and believes that staying connected to customers has been key to Supermacs marketing success.
The Marketing Team of the Year award was taken by Davy, led by Brand & Marketing Strategy Director Nicky Doran. Vodafone Ireland took two awards, winning the Sponsorship Management Award and the Advertising Campaign Award. Bord Gáis Energy also scooped two awards, winning the Digital Marketing Campaign Award and the Online Channel Marketing Award. Gym Plus Coffee, the athleisure clothing company took home the Small Business Marketing Award. Tayto Snacks picked up the New Product Award for its Tayto Muchos launch last year and another food brand, Fulfil Nutrition, scooped the International Marketing Award for it’s successful expansion into the UK. The newly introduced award, Client Agency Collaboration Award went to Allianz and in In the Company of Huskies. Congratulations to all the 2020 Winners.
