Island’s Edge : A journey of collaboration from inception to launch
The Marketing Breakfast Series was a sequence of early morning events held in central Dublin exploring marketing themes and practices in a wide range of different areas. Due to the challenges of 2020, the series went online. Our collaboration with MCCP this year will bring an overall theme of “Navigating Recovery” to be spread across eight breakfast events with top speakers from the profession.

Paula Conlon
Paula Conlon is a marketer with 20 years’ experience in Ireland’s dynamic FMCG sector. She has been with HEINEKEN Ireland for over 7 years and is currently Head of Flavoured Alcoholic Beverages & Stout. This is a diverse portfolio that comprises of Orchard Thieves, Pure Pirana, Desperados and our stout portfolio of Murphy’s, Beamish and the newly launched Island’s Edge stout which aims to rejuvenate Ireland’s iconic stout category.
Prior to her current role, Paula held a number of customer and brand marketing roles at HEINEKEN Ireland which have informed her ability to harness impactful creativity and commercially savvy marketing to deliver real business impact.
Prior to Heineken Ireland, Paula held a variety of sales, commercial operations, customer marketing and brand marketing roles with market leading organisations including soft drinks firm Britvic, consumer pharma powerhouse Reckitt Benckiser and grocery disruptor Lidl.
She is deeply passionate about the power of brands to connect with customers and consumers and is inspired by the creativity, innovation and people talent that underpins Ireland’s world class marketing industry. She is a strong champion for diversity and inclusion and is the Vice-Chair of Todays Women in Grocery, a sub-committee of the Irish Grocers’ Benevolent Fund established to support female leadership in the food, grocery and retail sectors in Ireland.
Paula is a graduate of Michael Smurfit Business School and also holds an Hons BA in Applied Languages from DCU.
