Brand and Communications Manager

We are partnering with Ecocem a pioneer of high-performance technology that significantly reduces CO2 emissions in the cement and construction industries.

A Communications Manager is required to join an established marketing team reporting to the Head of Communications, working closely with the Director of Public Affairs, Social and Digital Lead, in-country communications and marketing colleagues and external agencies. You will be comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues from different backgrounds, cultures and with different skills.

This role is hybrid with a flexible working environment. Located in Eastpoint Business Park.

What you will do:
Develop and deliver strong corporate marketing and communications programmes and campaigns which are consistent with our overall business strategy, priorities and goals
Manage and deliver all aspects of our work from media, digital and social to events and conferences.
Ensure consistent and effective use of the newly refreshed brand
Specifically responsible for curating and managing the content of our internal digital communications hub on SharePoint and work with our social and digital manager to curate and manage our Brand and Coms site within the internal hub
Support of people and culture colleagues on internal communications and engagement
Work as part of our broader communications and public affairs team and support our country communications leads to ensure alignment and consistency
Provide support and guidance to our senior leadership team on communications and media related matters, both proactive and reactive
Ensure quality of all output from releases, media comment, opinion pieces and social engagement

What you need to do the job:
Degree or qualification in Journalism, marketing and communications. (desired but not essential)
At least 5-7 years’ PR and communications experience in leading communications campaigns that build reputation across earned, digital and social channels.
A strong understanding of the importance of brand.
Extensive experience with corporate PR challenges.
Experience of narrative and messaging development and delivering proactive reputation-building campaigns across multiple channels
The ability to understand complex and at times technical issues and translate them into compelling stories and campaigns.
Highly organised with strong written and oral communications skills
Understanding of the earned and paid for media landscape: how it fits within the wider marketing mix and measuring its effectiveness
A passion for news, culture and current affairs
A level of fluency in French is not essential but would be a positive
Brave thinking: someone who’s not afraid to try something new
