Job Specification: Digital Content Manager
Reporting Line: Head of Marketing and Communications


Alternatives is delighted to partner with the ISPCC to recruit for a Digital Content Manager.

The Marketing and Communications team form a central role in shaping and realising the strategic ambitions and the Digital Content Manager is one such role. Based in Marketing and Communications, as a cross functional role, the Digital Content Manager will play a key role in enabling and supporting other teams achieve their goals (e.g. broadening our reach).

The following job specification is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties involved and consequently, the role may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post which may be assigned from time to time.

Based in Dun Laoighaire, Co. Dublin (with hybrid options available) this role presents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, creative individual to join the busy, purpose driven and highly engaged ISPCC team.

The ideal applicant will  
 

  • Be an enthusiastic digital professional who can help to engage, inspire and ultimately connect with all stakeholders (internal and external). 

 

  • Have a keen understanding of the influential impact of building connections and how that can translate into increasing visibility across all digital channels. The candidate will have expertise and knowledge that will help reach out to more children and young people through digital communications and improve their experience of engaging with the ISPCC. 

 

  • Have a demonstrable interest in data with an ability to analyse and interpret data that will refine and shape future digital plans.

 


The role will also be responsible for developing and implementing a digital marketing and content strategy spanning the full organisation ensuring that ISPCC’s values and mission are carried through all digital touchpoints. This role will identify and have opportunities to work and support on internal digital communications strategies by maximising and utilising current available digital resources.  



Essential Requirements  

  • Demonstrate IT/digital skills include Content Management Systems, HTML and Google Analytics. 
  • Experience in delivering best in class search engine optimisation (SEO).
  • Demonstrable experience in content production
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and setting up analytical tools, processes and reporting procedures for website, social media and earned and paid media.
  • Experience managing third party agencies.
  • Proven track record in delivering best in class UX experiences.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in Digital Management or on a pathway to management.

  • Proactive and self-starter mindset, comfortable working without significant direction.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team with then and external to the ISPCC.
  • Results orientated with a strong analytical approach and practical analytical skills
  • Digital native with strong understanding of the trends, insights and digital consumption of young people.
  • Creative mind able to identify opportunities and develop them to deliver maximum returns for the ISPCC.
  • An organised individual with exceptional attention to detail to manage a diverse workflow and work to deadlines.

 


Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (required)
  • Post-graduate (desirable)
