Position Description
ESB is seeking a high performing marketing or communications professional to join the Marketing & Customer Insights Team, within ESB Customer Solutions as ecars Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering ecars marketing and communication strategies across ROI, Northern Ireland and Great Britain to drive growth and profitability of the business. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a rapidly evolving business operating in a highly competitive market and requires a creative, commercially driven marketing professional that can develop innovative marketing plans to motivate consumers to use ESB’s public EV charging network. The successful candidate will lead a small team of marketing specialists and collaborate with colleagues across the wider marketing team to deliver strategic marketing, brand management and customer communications.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Delivery: Develop and implement insight led marketing strategy and Go to Market plans for each of our market segments in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain that support ecars business strategy and objectives.
Identify the customer value propositions and marketing objectives that will deliver on business targets. Analyse and monitor competitors and leverage business opportunities that will drive competitive advantage.
Customer Insights: Define and conduct/commission research as needed to support business development and operations across all three markets. Ensure insights are communicated and embedded into future business operations. Champion a customer–centred perspective in business decision making and operations.
Proactive PR & Media Management: Develop and implement proactive PR and Influencer strategies. Work closely with Corporate Press office on media queries and issue management.
Lead and Manage ecars Marketing team in delivery of business goals across marketing operations and business development across all three markets. Plan and manage team resources to ensure the team are operating effectively, key objectives are met, and a high level of customer service is delivered.
Leadership: As a key member of the ecars management team you will provide support and assistance to other teams within ESB ecars including ICT, Business Development, Commercial and Operations in areas such as new product development, product pricing, bid support, stakeholder, and customer communications.
Budget and Performance Management: Manage marketing budgets, monitor and report on effectiveness of all marketing campaigns to maximise the return from on marketing budgets to deliver customer awareness, sign ups, usage, and revenues.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
Minimum of 7 years marketing, PR, or Communications experience.
Degree level qualification in a Marketing, Communications, PR or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Problem solving and analytical skills and proven ability to deliver projects within time and budget.
Strong Interpersonal skills with an ability to lead and develop successful teams.
A record of accomplishment in planning, delivering, and evaluating marketing strategies and campaigns
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience of managing diverse stakeholder groups.
Knowledge of EV market in ROI.
Location
This position will be based between our offices in 27 Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2 and Swift Square, Dublin 9 and in line with Smarter Working principles and flexible working,

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€69,500 – €81,000 depending on experience.
