Ardmore Group Invests In Bonfire

Belfast-based Ardmore Advertising Group is taking a stake in Bonfire, the Dublin-based creative agency. Ardmore’s investment is funding an ambitious growth plan that includes expanding the office footprint at 22 Ely Place.

Bonfire, founded by Ian Doherty and Sean Hynes in 2005, is a well-established and highly regarded agency in Dublin’s advertising scene and will remain a fiercely proud, independent Irish agency brand under Sean’s leadership.

In addition to growing the team at Bonfire, the agreement opens up scale, resources, and direct access to other skill sets across The Ardmore Group, including Media Planning, e-Commerce, Performance Marketing, Brand Experience, Public Relations, and Government Affairs.

For the Ardmore Group, it brings a new all-island offering to its clients, plus additional creative firepower in the Dublin market.

“The dedication to award-winning, effective creative work, shown by the team at Bonfire over the years, was what drew us to them…the wonderful people they are is what brought the deal to life,” said John Keane, chairman and CEO, Ardmore Group.

“Everyone at Bonfire is really excited about the news, which allows us to keep the momentum going on our recent growth. A big factor in the decision process was the like-minded cultural fit on a human level. It’s always nice to work with nice people,” said Seán Hynes, co-founder and creative lead, Bonfire.
