To win an AIM is a company wide accolade and not just about the Marketing Team. It raises the profile of the business and really is the epitome of “team work”; with lots of finger prints from across the company to deliver the compelling and resounding results. It is a wonderful reward for all the hard work done

Why should I enter the MII AIM Awards?

Recognition of Excellence

An MII AIM Award is the most prestigious accolade for marketing in Ireland, celebrating outstanding achievements across the industry. Winning an MII AIM Award is difficult because the competition is tough and the standard is high.

Winning or being shortlisted validates your work and highlights your contribution to business success. It is a chance to demonstrate to key stakeholders that you and your team are at the top of your profession.

Personal and Business Brand Enhancement

Being associated with, shortlisted for, or winning an MII AIM Award is a powerful way to elevate both your personal and company brand. The recognition comes with extensive media exposure, further amplified through our events, social media platforms, blogs, and newsletters, ensuring your achievements reach a wide and influential audience.

Credibility and Prestige

Being recognised positions you as a leader in marketing and underscores your commitment to excellence in business and marketing. This can enhance your reputation among peers, clients, and stakeholders, solidifying your standing in the industry.

Level the Playing Field

The MII AIM Awards are open to companies of all sizes and categories and the judging is designed to create a level playing field regardless of size of company or budget. Our emphasis is on recognising and rewarding the core competencies of the professional marketer, including strategy, insight and innovation.

Employee Motivation and Talent Attraction

The MII AIM Awards are the perfect opportunity to recognise the great work of you, your colleagues and your team. When the team are recognised nationally and by their peers for their work, it boosts morale, motivation and engagement. An MII AIM Award also highlights the high standard of your marketing practice and helps to attract new and outstanding talent as well as differentiating your company from the
competition.

Exposure and Networking

The MII AIM Awards provide numerous networking opportunities throughout the year. From our launch event, where you’ll meet the Chair of the Judging Jury, to informal breakfast gatherings over the next six months, and culminating in the sell-out MII AIM Awards Ceremony on 21 May 2026,  there are plenty of chances to connect with your professional peers. It’s the ideal platform to network while celebrating your success.

Internal Recognition

As marketers, our contributions can sometimes be overlooked within broader business functions. This is your chance to demonstrate to your board of directors, manager, and wider team that you are recognised as a top-tier marketing professional in Ireland.

Benchmarking

There is an incredibly high standard at the MII AIM Awards, with only one winner in each category and no second place. The time and effort invested in the application process is an opportunity to look at your business from a different perspective. Articulating how you stand out from the competition, when your competitors come from many different fields and industries, can help you gain a whole new perspective on your challenges and your strategies for success.

How to select the categories to enter

Selecting the right categories to enter for the MII AIM Awards 2026 is crucial for showcasing your professional marketing strengths and achievements. Start by thoroughly reviewing the award categories and criteria to understand where your brand’s efforts align best.

Consider your most successful campaigns, innovations, and initiatives, and match them to the categories that will best highlight these accomplishments. It’s important to think about which categories will provide the most significant recognition and visibility for your brand. By carefully selecting the categories that best represent your brand’s excellence, you can maximise your chances of success and ensure your hard work is recognised.

This year, the National Marketing Competency Framework has helped us to map the award categories to the competencies in an effort to highlight all of your marketing investments, not just the higher profile programmes.

MII want to promote and recognise excellence across the full range of marketing competencies. While we can all understand that there is a bias towards the higher profile categories such as Brand, Advertising and Integrated Marketing, we encourage you to review all of your marketing activity against the National Marketing Competency Framework and the different categories that are open to you.
