Dr Katie Power is Chair of the Cork Branch of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and Head of the Department of Marketing and International Business at Munster Technological University.

A Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA) and a qualified solicitor, she brings a strong blend of academic leadership and professional practice to her role. Katie leads a large, multidisciplinary department spanning marketing, digital marketing, international business, law, languages and aviation, with a strong focus on industry engagement and graduate employability.

As Chair of MII Cork, she is committed to strengthening connections between industry and academia, supporting the professional development of marketers across the region, and curating a programme of events that reflects the evolving nature of marketing practice.

Her research and leadership work centres on learning environments, collaboration, and the role of education in preparing students for a rapidly changing workplace. She is an active contributor to national and international initiatives in teaching and learning, and a recipient of a Royal Irish Academy Charlemont Grant (2026) supporting Ireland–Wales collaboration.
