ESA is a non-profit member organisation whose mission is to be the essential and inclusive community for all professionals working in sponsorship.
Their purpose is to inspire more successful sponsorships, drive confidence in decision making and grow a diverse community through world-leading education, events and resources, industry connections and recognition of excellence.
ESA is once again hosting a Dublin event to share some of the latest insights from the world of sponsorship.
Richard Sceats
Brand, Partnerships & Experiential Marketing Manager | Canon EMEA
Richard is a senior brand and partnerships leader with over 20 years’ experience delivering
high impact sponsorships, live experiences and purpose led campaigns. Started his career
working rightsholder side in his native New Zealand before moving to brand side and then
moving to the UK where he has now spent the last 10+ years at Canon during this time he
has led major global partnerships, flagship brand platforms and large scale global events,
spanning sport, culture, storytelling and social impact. Richard specialises in navigating
rights led partnerships, multi market activations and high-profile stakeholder environments.
Richard also a graduate of the ESA Diploma in 2019.
Gareth Hall
Director of Growth | Sid Lee Sport
Gareth leads new business and marketing at Sid Lee Sport. He was part of the founding
team that launched Sid Lee’s London office in 2021 and has been central to its evolution
ever since. Following the agency’s relaunch as Sid Lee Sport, he has played a key role in
driving growth, helping secure major partnerships with brands including Lidl, Tommy
Hilfiger, UEFA and OPPO. With a background spanning both advertising and entertainment
agencies, Gareth brings a fresh, creative approach to helping brands unlock the full potential
of sport and sponsorship.
Mike Grumbridge
Managing Director | Sid Lee Sport
Mike joined Sid Lee in September 2022 having worked in senior client leadership roles for
the likes of McCann, Grey and Antidote as well as client-side at The Times newspaper (News
UK). He’s worked across properties such as the London 2012, Rio 2016 and Paris 2024
Olympic Games, Team Sky (now Ineos Grenadiers) and cycling lifestyle brand, Rapha.
At Sid Lee Sport, Mike has led the agency in its breakthrough year and been responsible for
global accounts such as Tommy Hilfiger, Visa, UEFA, OPPO, and Lidl, building strong
partnerships and delivering exceptional results for clients. His creative industry background
underpins the agency’s commitment to marketing effectiveness and its creative culture.
